A farming family in Montana faces others encroaching on their land. Smith, who plays Forry J. Lloyd, has experienced the world of Rodeo. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget”; his Montanan accent and reverts to the SoCal speaking voice he normally uses. I don’t think anyone does westerns better than Kevin Costner, and thanks to Taylor Sheridan’s writing, audiences benefit from that. See "Wind River" as an example of what Taylor Sheridan can do. Where is Cole Hauser hiding? He is amazing. I think the daughter is a necessary part, but she is over the bitch. The scenery is amazing and being from Colorado I can really appreciate the vast, beautiful land. Do yourself a favor and stick with this series because it’s a winner.
